Dropped in to see your Eddie O'Brien post and saw this one. I'd actually never heard of Sal Maglie until this morning, and your post was actually the second time I'd heard of him. I was reading that Small-Town Heroes book just this morning and he was referenced there. And now I see him again, the same morning. Crazy. The author referenced Maglie's connection to Welland, Ontario, and Niagara Falls. The old Niagara Falls Rapids played at Sal Maglie Stadium.
